A New Simulation Model for Respiration Signal Measurements from Walking Human
نویسندگان
چکیده
There has been research interest in using the micro Doppler effect for contactless measurements of human respiration. Most of the research assumes that the test subject remains stationary. The purpose of this paper is to detect a respiration signal from a walking human. This work is at an early stage, and MATLAB model for a walking human with respiration movement was used, instead of recreating an actual human walking case. The results from this study show that a respiration signal can be successfully extracted from a walking human model. Keywords—micro-Doppler effect, radar, vital sign, respiration, walking human

Energy Dissipation Rate Control Via a Semi-Analytical Pattern Generation Approach for Planar Three-Legged Galloping Robot based on the Property of Passive Dynamic Walking
In this paper an Energy Dissipation Rate Control (EDRC) method is introduced, which could provide stable walking or running gaits for legged robots. This method is realized by developing a semi-analytical pattern generation approach for a robot during each Single Support Phase (SSP). As yet, several control methods based on passive dynamic walking have been proposed by researchers to provide an...
متن کاملSimulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion
The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...
متن کاملA fast model for prediction of respiratory lung motion for image-guided radiotherapy: A feasibility study
Background: The aim of this work was to study the feasibility of constructing a fast thorax model suitable for simulating lung motion due to respiration using only one CT dataset. Materials and Methods: For each of six patients with different thorax sizes, two sets of CT images were obtained in single-breath-hold inhale and exhale stages in the supine position. The CT images were then ...
متن کاملProposed new signal for real-time stress monitoring: Combination of physiological measures
Human stress is a physiological tension that appears when a person responds to mental, emotional, or physical chal-lenges. Detecting human stress and developing methods to manage it, has become an important issue nowadays. Au-tomatic stress detection through physiological signals may be a useful method for solving this problem. In most of the earlier studies, long-term time window was considere...
متن کاملMonte Carlo simulation of two 106Ru eye plaques in a new mathematical human eye model
BEBIG Ruthenium-106 ophthalmic plaques have been used for treatment of uveal melanoma, retinoblastoma, melanoma of the iris and other special applications for many years. The plaques consist of a thin film of 106Ru, a beta emitter, encapsulated in pure silver. The present work proposes a new mathematical eye model for ophthalmic brachytherapy dosimetry. This new mod...
